Mikiya Sang is a dancer, performer, and creative artist originally from Japan.
His passion for performance began at a young age, inspired by the magic of theatre, live entertainment, and musical productions. While still in high school, Mikiya began training at a dance studio, developing his skills and pursuing his dream of becoming a professional performer. This journey led him to successfully audition for Tokyo Disney Resort, where he began his career as a dancer.
At the age of 22, Mikiya joined the Shiki Theatre Company, one of Japan’s most prestigious theatre companies. Following intensive training in dance, singing, acting, and Japanese traditional dance, he went on to perform in productions including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Anne of Green Gables, among others.
Following his time with Shiki Theatre Company, Mikiya returned to Tokyo Disneyland before expanding his international career as a dancer and performer at Hong Kong Disneyland. These experiences allowed him to collaborate with talented artists from around the world, perform for diverse audiences, and continue developing his craft within world-class entertainment environments.
Mikiya later continued his performance career in the UK, appearing as an Ensemble performer in Aladdin Pantomime with Polkadot Pantomimes. Alongside live performance, he has also developed experience in film and television as a supporting artist. His screen credits include Universal Pictures’ Wicked, in which he portrayed a Shiz University student, as well as productions for internationally recognised companies including Netflix, Apple TV, BBC, Paramount Pictures, and Amazon MGM Studios.
Today, Mikiya continues to share his passion and experience with the next generation of performers through workshops across the UK with Atlantis Productions. Through movement, creativity, and storytelling, he inspires others by sharing the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained throughout his professional journey.
